50 a grim-faced nation[a] who does not show respect[b] to the old and the young and does not show pity. 51 And it[c] shall consume the fruit of your livestock and the fruit of your ground until you are destroyed,[d] and who will not leave for you any grain, wine, and olive oil, calves of your herds,[e] and lambs of[f] your flock until it has destroyed you.[g] 52 And it shall besiege you in all your towns until your high and fortified walls fall,[h] which you are trusting in[i] throughout your land;[j] and it shall besiege you in all of your towns in all of your land that Yahweh your God has given to you.
